- in-practice use (our team are using the software for their daily work, signifying that it has been a success to some degree)
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The Codepixel team kept a good handle on project management, keeping an up-to-date Clickup project management interface which aligned the project team on progress. We had frequent progress meetings and sprint reviews which aligned everyone on progress. Our team was often the bottleneck for progress, and we could not keep up with the pace of development of Codepixel.
The team has remained attentive after deployment and have been helpful in fixing bugs and allowing us to make the app useful in practice.
What was your primary form of communication with Codepixel?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I liked their team culture, positivity, and responsiveness. The team was very professional and listened to feedback and always tried to improve.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Codepixel could have done differently?
We would have liked to have more hands-on problem solving and suggestions about how to build the solution, rather than simply following our instructions and being constrained by the user interface that we designed.
As a company without developer resources in house, we were looking for more support in designing HOW it should be built and would have appreciated Codepixel's viewpoint on this, and also some coaching on what is possible / what is not possible. I think we arrived at this way of working in the end, but it took a few iterations and frustrations on both sides until we reached this way of working.
Results & feedback
Codepixel adeptly delivered the app within a month, deploying 80% of the intended features; however, the project surpassed the budget by 10-20%. The app was used daily by the client's team; an indication of the project's success. Codepixel's project management and professionalism were commendable.
